Mr. Yajima’s wife will take care of the phone reservation and she can speak good English so even foreigners can book by themselves.
It is located in the basement level of Oshima building but you can see the restaurant’s name in signage in Japanese characters displayed outside “やじま” so it is not so difficult to find.
The building’s outer concept is made of reddish bricks formed together like a perfect puzzle to make the entire place more appealing than the others. A bit secluded as it appears to be, but the location is neatly preserved for the longest time.
This restaurant is basically on a booking system so forget about expecting long queues every single day as that won’t ever happen!
The customers who succeeded to reserve their seats may have the options to sit at the counter area or for larger groups, can opt to choose the table eats for better accommodation.

The number of the customers are already estimated and welcomed based on the total accommodation that the restaurant has so it is not crowded and definitely, no annoying background noise.
Just sit back and relax as Yajima-san will bring you the most entertaining Omakase menu in Tokyo! The sushi course is undoubtedly delicious and high-quality plus you get a bonus laughing moments and tons of jokes from the owner/chef himself.
There are some rules about eating sushi that the owner had shared to a lot of people. First, eat sushi in just 1 bite. Second, sushi is best for lunchtime because of the amount of rice that you will consume late in the evening. And lastly, sushi should be eaten in no more than 20 minutes.
You can also order additional menu, side dish and other beverages you like after savoring the different types of sushi prepared by the sushi master of the house.
Recommended when eating alone, with a friend, with a co-worker, and for dating.
Private room is unavailable in this restaurant.
It is highly advised to call in advance to check for the schedule first as the owner decides to take a day off sometimes.
